Best Clues?

From: Steve Robertson (stever@mindspring.com) | Date: 2004-09-30 08:05:49 UTC-04:00
I've been thinking about trying some letterboxing and/or geocaching for
a while now. To be truthful, hiding boxes and writing good clues sounds
even more interesting to me than searching. The other day, I went to
the list of letterboxes in my state and started looking at the ones
nearest me - hoping to find some examples of clue writing to use as
inspiration. The "clues" for almost all of these boxes turned out to be
more like directions. Can any of you recommend boxes with clues that
require some interpretation?

Steve R.

Steve

Look at various States' MYSTERY boxes. Those are more cryptic.

I agree. The best clues i've come across so far were for the Let's
Party mystery box in New York State. I highly recommend it--the clues
were both intriguing and cryptic yet made sense when we followed them.
It made for an excellent letterboxing experience.
